Discover the American Dream on your USA Travel
Renowned for its diverse landscapes, spectacular beaches, and legendary tourist attractions.
The USA, a large country in North America about the same size as China, is a land of diverse landscapes and attractions. It borders the North Atlantic and the North Pacific oceans, between Canada and Mexico. With the world’s third-largest population, it offers a unique blend of sprawling and densely populated cities and vast, sparsely inhabited areas of natural beauty. From the world-famous and much-visited cities of New York, with its Broadway and famous landmarks, and California’s Hollywood and glitzy Las Vegas, to the vacation favourite of Florida, boasting beautiful beaches, family theme parks, and the natural beauty of the Everglades, there’s something for everyone.
The US is a federal republic comprising 50 states governed by a President. While its size can make travel within the country time-consuming and costly, the Visa Waiver Program (ESTA) makes entering the USA easier. This program allows for trips of up to 90 days for tourism or business purposes, alleviating the stress of fulfilling demanding visa requirements.

Discover restaurant-loving American cities, dine out on fast food and supersized portions.
Food is a significant part of the experience when traveling to the USA. However, it’s not just about fast food and oversized portions. The USA is a melting pot of cultures, and this diversity is reflected in its rich culinary tapestry. From soul food in the South to Tex-Mex in the Southwest, and from seafood in New England to the farm-to-table movement in the Midwest, there’s a world of flavours to explore.
There is something for every palate. Seafood is popular in many parts of the country, with dishes like clam chowder associated with New England. Comfort foods like apple pie are iconic US countryside staples. Fast food favourites include deep-pan pizza, hot dogs, and fried chicken. What’s your first USA meal going to be?
Plan your trip around the varied climates and pack your bags accordingly.
Due to the size of the US, the climate varies significantly. From the tropical paradise of Hawaii and Florida to the arctic conditions of Alaska and the semi-arid Great Plains to the dry Southwest, the US offers a climate for every type of traveller. Planning your trip around these varied climates is essential, so pack your bags accordingly. Remember, clothing is often cheaper to buy in the US, and in some states, there is even no sales tax (a version of VAT).
Some extreme weather conditions regularly cause problems and can interfere with US travel. Tornadoes are a problem in the Midwest (known as Tornado Alley), and hurricanes are persistent problems on the Atlantic Seaboard and Gulf of Mexico. We advise you to check your insurance policy to ensure it covers you for cancellations due to weather.
Travel with health care coverage and stay protected even with US private institutions.
In the USA, private sector businesses provide healthcare. Individuals, both residents and visitors, are required to pay for the care they receive through their health insurance.
If you are planning to travel to the US, it is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance. This will cover emergency medical care and repatriation costs in case of any unforeseen emergencies. With insurance, you can avoid a substantial medical bill and have peace of mind while travelling.
Where to go?
History and Culture
You are spoilt for choice! One option is to head to Massachusetts, the home of Boston’s Freedom Trail, Boston Tea Party Ships and Museums, and the Museum of Fine Arts. This stylish New England city is also home to the Boston Red Sox baseball team, a more contemporary cultural activity. But of course, the US is your oyster!
For Kids and Teens
It has to be Orlando, Florida. Take your pick of theme parks—Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Orlando Seaworld, or Legoland Orlando—to name but a few. You can also cool off at an Orlando waterpark or have some fun at a Floridian beach—an hour away. Florida is the playground state that is perfect for families!
Relaxation
Hawaii's stunning palm tree-fringed coastline and rolling waves will rejuvenate and re-energise you. Enjoy the spectacle of a lilting Hula dance, play a relaxing round of golf, or go whale-watching. Even if you don’t see one of these amazing mammals, you will still enjoy a trip of a lifetime on the clear waters of the Auau Channel.
Action
Check out New Orleans, famous for being the birthplace of jazz and offering a thrilling night’s entertainment. Find action in casinos, bars, and nightclubs. Discover music and jazz clubs played by authentic local musicians with soul running through their veins. There are also burlesque and cabaret clubs for humorous or harmlessly risqué entertainment.
Nightlife
If you want to see the dazzling lights and party until dawn, Las Vegas is the place to be! From extravagant shows featuring international performers to trendy rooftop bars and iconic nightclubs, Las Vegas promises an unforgettable nightlife experience for anyone seeking excitement and indulgence.
