When purchasing cover over the telephone or online you will be asked a series of medical questions which can be seen in the flow chart below. It is important that you answer these questions carefully. If the answer is yes to any of the questions please contact our underwriter's medical screening team quoting the policy you are interested in (for example, Go Walkabout Economy 500). The screening team can be contacted on 0203 829 6656. (Please note that our underwriter's screening team are available Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm. Peak periods tend to be late morning and lunch times).
You also have the option of declaring the medical conditions online through the online medical screening process.
Upon completing the screening process you will be issued with a medical screening reference number which can be given to us over the phone or entered at the final stage of the quote process. Please note that if an additional premium is required to cover your pre-existing medical conditions then this payment needs to be made directly to the screening team who will confirm terms of cover in writing. If you have any questions about the screening process please don't hesitate to contact us.
As standard our policies will not cover claims arising from your pre-existing medical conditions so you need to tell us of anything you know that is likely to affect our acceptance of your cover.
If your medical conditions change between policy purchase and travel, or new conditions arise, please inform the medical screening team to ensure your policy remains valid.

Changes in Health
If your health or your ongoing medication changes between the date the policies were bought and the date of travel you must advise us on 0203 829 6656 as soon as possible. We will advise you what cover we are able to provide, after the date of diagnosis. We reserve the right to increase the premium, increase the excess, exclude the condition or withdraw the cover should the stability of the condition make it necessary
We do not provide any cover for:
claims caused by an existing medical condition of a non-travelling close relative, the person you are intending to stay with, or a close business associate, or any recognised complication caused by the existing medical condition as defined in your policy wording document.
